The detailed treatment process: Step by step to white teeth
Cosmetic teeth whitening at the Kosmetik Kompetenz Studio is completely relaxing for you. Just lean back – in approx. 45 to 60 minutes I will help you achieve your dream smile.

Before we start, I will take the time for you. We determine your current tooth color using a professional color scale. This allows us to compare the final result exactly. We will discuss your wishes and clarify whether your teeth are optimally suitable for cosmetic whitening.

Step 2: Preparation
For an optimal result, you should come with brushed teeth and briefly clean your teeth in the studio beforehand with a special, cleansing activation finger brush (a small disposable tooth brushing cloth). After that, a soft, flexible silicone lip retractor is inserted. This ensures that your teeth are exposed and the gel does not come into contact with your lips.

Step 3: Applying the whitening gel
Now, the certified, peroxide-free whitening gel is precisely applied to your teeth. The gums are completely protected during this process.

Step 4: LED light activation
Now our state-of-the-art 60-watt LED lamp comes into play. The cold, blue light activates the gel directly on the teeth. This gently breaks down the discoloration molecules in the tooth enamel. Depending on the desired degree of whitening, this process is repeated in 2 to 4 cycles of 15 minutes each. At the end of each cycle, the gel is removed and fresh gel is applied.

⚠️ Important customer notes: What you need to pay attention to
For the whitening result to be perfect and last as long as possible, I ask you to pay attention to the following points:
Before the treatment:
- Condition of the teeth: Teeth should be free of cavities and the gums should be healthy. No whitening may be performed in the case of acute inflammation or untreated dental problems.
- Professional dental cleaning (recommendation): For the best possible result, we recommend having a professional dental cleaning (PZR) done by the dentist about 1 to 2 weeks before the whitening. This removes superficial tartar and allows the gel to work completely evenly.
- Consider dental prosthetics: Cosmetic whitening only brightens natural tooth substance. Crowns, bridges, veneers, or plastic fillings retain their original color.
After the treatment (The 48-hour rule):
Immediately after whitening, the tooth enamel is still slightly receptive to new pigments. To permanently seal the bright white, a strict “white diet” applies for the first 48 hours:
- ❌ Avoid staining foods & drinks: Coffee, black/green tea, red wine, cola, juices, tomato sauce, curry, soy sauce, ketchup, blueberries, and staining spices are taboo.
- ❌ Smoking ban: Please refrain completely from smoking (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, shisha) for the first two days, as nicotine can immediately discolor the fresh result again.
- ✅ Allowed are: Water, milk, quark, yogurt, rice, pasta (without colored sauce), light meat (chicken), cauliflower, and peeled potatoes.
- 🪥 Dental care: Use a normal, white toothpaste without aggressive abrasive particles (avoid “whitening toothpastes”) and a soft toothbrush in the first 48 hours.
